Celtic are looking at signing £19m player who has won 18 trophies today

As transfer deadline day starts to kick in, Celtic should be expected to complete at least one more move before the window slams shut.

Having added Nicholas Khun this month and looking to finalise the deal to bring Adam Idah to the club today, Brendan Rodgers still has work to do to strengthen the squad.

The recent injury to Scotland left-back, Greg Taylor has meant the Celtic manager has had to prioritise signing a full-back and it seems Rodgers may well have his eye on one.

According to , PSG left-back, Layvin Kurzawa, is being ‘looked at’ by Rodgers after agents made Celtic aware of his availability.

The 31-year-old has barely featured for the French Ligue 1 side and is said to be keen to leave and get first-team football.

Is Layvin Kurzawa the quality that Celtic needs?

The former Monaco academy graduate is certainly highly decorated. With 18 domestic honours to his name, Kurzawa knows what it takes to be a champion.

With four Ligue 1 titles, five French Cups, four French League Cups and six French Super Cups to his name, Kurzawa has an extremely successful career at PSG.

In 154 appearances for the French champions, Karzawa scored 14 goals and created 23 assists. []

So highly rated was the full-back he was once sought after by the likes of Man United, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham. []

If a move for the 31-year-old is being considered it is likely to be a loan move but Kurzawa’s £89k per week salary could prove to be a stumbling block for the Scottish champions. []

With less than 18 hours of the transfer window to go, the Celtic supporters will be keen to see the club adding a couple of new faces to the squad before the deadline kicks in tonight.
