Celtic have agreed a deal to bring 22-year-old international striker, Adam Idah, to the club this afternoon.
Speculation was rife this morning that the club were set to land the Norwich City man after the Championship club made a move for Sydney van Hooijdonk and after a few hours of negotiations, it seems like Brendan Rodgers is set to land his second signing of the January window.
Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph delivered the update this afternoon and it is a move that at least proves the club are active in the transfer market.
Joesph said on , “UPDATE: Celtic have agreed a loan deal for Norwich City forward Adam Idah.
“It’s understood there’s no option to buy.
“Idah is due to undergo a medical in London today.
“Bologna’s Sydney van Hooijdonk is due to travel to the UK to have a medical and finalise a move to Norwich.”
In my opinion, doubts remain about whether or not Idah is good enough to be a Celtic striker. TBR Celtic wrote this morning about the 22-year-old striker’s goalscoring record and whilst he enjoyed a fruitful start to his youth career, he has struggled to make a mark at senior level.
However, until the Celtic fans see what he can do in the green and white Hoops, they will back the forward to do a job for the team.

Heaven knows the team needs another striker to take the goalscoring burden from Kyogo Furuhashi as the Japanese striker has struggled to reach his usual goalscoring heights this season.
With just 11 goals to his name so far, Kyogo has cut a frustrated figure up front this season as he appears to struggle in Brendan Rodgers’ side.
With less than 36 hours of the transfer window to go, the Celtic supporters will be hoping that Idah is the first of a few names to be added to the squad.
