Carlton Cole predicts what would happen to Man United’s players if Roy Keane was hired to replace Ruben Amorim as manager

Ruben Amorim hasn’t had the best of starts as the manager of Manchester United.

Indeed, United sit 14^th in the Premier League table at the moment, and Amorim has been questioned in recent weeks.

United aren’t thinking about making a change in the dugout just yet, but quite the claim was made this week as Teddy Sheringham called for Roy Keane to replace Ruben Amorim.

Giussepe Rossi has pr꧂eviously called for Keane to get the United job.

Speaking on The Dressing Room Podcast, Joe Cole and Carlton Cole have been discussing the idea of Keane coming back to Old Trafford in a management capacity, and they made an interesting claim about 💟the Ir🍬ishman.

Carlton Cole says Manchester United players would fold if Roy Keane became manager

The two Coles spoke about the idea of 🌸Keane coming in to manage United.

Joe Cole 🌊questioned whether or not this appointment would work after Keane’s lengthy absence from the dugout.

ℱMeanwhile, Carlton Cole suggested that Keane is too intimidating, claiming that a number of players would fold if he was brought in.

“Did you see Teddy Sheringham’s shout about Roy Keane (managing Manche♊ster United)?” Cole was asked.

“Yeah, I know, I know. I love Ted, but I think, yeah, I don’t know, man. Roy’s been ꦚat the game for a long time and I know he’s brilliant in what he does,” Joe Cole said.

“Mate, I tell y🐼ou ✨what though, I’d watch the Amazon documentary of if Roy Keane took the job, that first meeting.”

“Most of💜 those players would fold,’ Carlton Cole said.

“But don’t you t🤪hink Roy will be a little bit too intimidating for this generation? I’m not saying, because I understand, look, from our era, we could 🐲take a batter and we could take someone saying this about you and you prove them wrong. Prove me wrong.”

“The younger generation in that d💖ressing room is nꦡot ready for the truth.”

Roy Keane’s record as a manager

Roy Keane is best known as a pundit these days, but, a few years ago, the Irishman was making his nam💙e as a bright young manager.

Indeed, Keane has managed both Sunderland and Ipswich Town in the past, an🍬d, in all honesty, he didn’t do a bad job in🌺 management.

Keane’s record isn’t exceptional, granted, but he did earn promotion with Sunderland, taking 🧸them from rock bottom of the Championship to league champions.

Keane would 🐻then keep Sunderland up in the Premier League, befo🤪re being sacked the next season.

The Irishman’s spell at Ipswich was less memorable, but he still🧔 did a decent job with൩ The Tractor Boys.

Keane’s win percentage is uninspiring, but he spent a l💎ot of his time managing unfancied teams.

A number of former United players have fallen flat on ꧟their face when they’ve tried their hand at management – Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney being two notab♔le examples, but Keane does have a decent CV.

Keane won’t be in the running for th🌃e United job anytime soon, but if he did get the chance, he’d certainly dish out a few home truths to a few of these players.
