Carlo Ancelotti says Everton have a ‘very professional’ player who’s been great in training
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has praised Toffees striker Joshua King, saying he’s a “very professional” player who’s been doing well in training.
The Norway international joined the Goodison Park outfit from Bournemouth late in the January transfer window, but is still waiting to make his first start for the Blues.
Ancelotti has now revealed that the 29-year-old has been suffering from a problem with his back in recent weeks, although he is now back in training with his teammates at Finch Farm.

The Italian acknowledged that he’s not had many chances to start, but nonetheless praised his attitude and hard work on the training ground.
“He had a small problem on his back,” Ancelotti told the Everton on Friday. “He was back today after two days off.
“His condition was quite good. He didn’t have a lot of chances [to start] which was my decision. He has been good in training and very professional.”
Up next for Everton is Saturday night’s Premier League meeting with Aston Villa.
TBR View:
King only penned a short-term deal at Everton, and although the Toffees have the option to extend his contract, it remains to be seen what happens.
So far, he has only made nine appearances for the club, all of them off the bench, for a total of 123 minutes.
Admittedly, Ancelotti does have other options, but even if King is given the option to stay on, would he want to remain as just a back-up?
