Carlisle United manager Steven Pressley admits he would like to re-sign Aston Villa starlet Callum O’Hare

Aston Villa starlet Callum O’Hare is receiving rave reviews while on loan at League Two side Carlisle United.

Carlisle manager Steven Pressley has praised O’Hare and admitted that he would love to re-sign him for next season, .

The 20-year-old joined Carlisle on loan from Aston Villa in January and he has been a revelation.

Considering the attacking midfielder had only ever played in eight senior games for Aston Villa, he has excelled in League Two.

With two assists and two goals in 11 games, O’Hare is becoming a key player as Carlisle push for promotion. And Carlisle boss Pressley wants O’Hare back next season.

: “There’s nothing big time about him, and he’s everything you could want in a loan player.

“We’re really pleased to have him here, and I’d like to have him back next season if it was possible. If that isn’t the case, it’s only down to him being a real success story during his time here.”

Aston Villa will surely take a look at O’Hare in pre-season after his impressive performances in League Two.

But if the Villans win promotion to the Premier League, they would probably sanction another loan stint for their prized youngster.

Carlisle’s hopes of keeping the England under-20 midfielder probably depend on whether they are promoted.

With five games left, they are one point shy of the play-off zone and Aston Villa would probably send him to a higher division than League Two next season.
