Caoimhin Kelleher says Liverpool player was ‘joy to watch’ vs Norwich yesterday

Caoimhin Kelleher and Virgil van Dijk were amongst those to react on social media to the performance of Conor Bradley as Liverpool beat Norwich City in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Conor Bradley has enjoyed a brilliant run of form for the Reds. Jürgen Klopp showed his faith in the 20-year-old by throwing him on in the previous round when the tie with Arsenal was in the balance.

Bradley played superbly in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League. And he has gone on to prove once again that he is a very capable understudy to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Of course, there are few shoes which are bigger to fill at Liverpool than those of Alexander-Arnold this season. But Bradley is showing that he has the quality to step in when he is needed.

And after taking to Instagram following the win, the youngster was lauded by several teammates, including Caoimhin Kelleher and Virgil van Dijk…

Youngster has definitely proved himself to Jurgen Klopp

Obviously, Liverpool being able to bring Alexander-Arnold off the bench in the tie is a huge boost – particularly as it came in the same game in which Andrew Robertson also returned.

But Bradley has probably surprised plenty with his recent displays. The Northern Irishman did not look out of place playing for a side battling at the top of the Premier League table.

There will be much tougher tests to come. But Arsenal asked plenty of questions during that tie. And Bournemouth have been one of the division’s most impressive sides in recent months. Fulham meanwhile, were beaten over two legs in the Carabao Cup.

Alexander-Arnold returning suggests that Bradley is likely to return to a more peripheral role for the time-being. But Klopp can be confident that he can always turn to the youngster when the time is right.
