‘Can’t see it’: Former Tottenham man says key player will leave and gives Grealish verdict

Harry Kane will leave Tottenham in the summer.

That’s the verdict of former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara, who believes the striker’s talent has outgrown what the club can offer him.

Champions League football now looks far from a guarantee for Jose Mourinho’s side next season. They currently sit sixth in the Premier League, two points behind Chelsea and three behind West Ham.

O’Hara, who made 56 appearances for the club during a playing career that also included spells at Blackpool and Wolves, believes Kane is one of the world’s best and a failure to land a spot among Europe’s elite would signal the end of his time at the club.

Speaking on , the 34-year-old also dismissed suggestions that Aston Villa and England star Jack Grealish could be on his way to Tottenham.

On Grealish, Alan Brazil asked: “Could Spurs tempt him?”, to which O’Hara replied: “Spurs are not spending £80 million.”

Brazil went on to insist that Spurs need to keep hold of Kane and Son Heung-min, suggesting that if Kane goes Son will follow him out the door.

O’Hara went on to articulate his concerns regarding Kane, saying: “I can’t see Harry Kane staying. We’re not going to be in the Champions League.

“You’re talking about one of the top five strikers in the world, not playing Champions League football and not winning trophies.”
