‘Can we get City’s lawyers’: Some Liverpool fans rage at what rivals are getting away with

Premier League clubs will be unable to select players recently called up for Brazil this weekend after being informed by FIFA that a five-day period is in place for those called up to the South American side, except for Everton’s Richarlison.

, players from Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United cannot play after travelling to Brazil, however, Richarlison has been exempt from this.

This has come after the Brazilian FA triggered a rule from FIFA preventing players for appearing for their clubs within five days of being with the national team. This decision covers games played from the 10th of September to the 14th.

The rule comes as a double blow for both Chelsea and United. The sides will miss Thiago Silva and Fred respectively for their UEFA Champions League openers.

However, as per the report, Brazil have not asked for Everton star Richarlison to be prevented from playing this weekend.

This is because Brazil have seemingly shown leniency towards Richarlison after the forward competed at the 2020 Olympic this summer.

And for Liverpool fans, who will see the likes of Alisson Becker and Fabinho miss this weekend’s clash against Leeds United, seeing an Everton player granted exemption has made them furious.
