Can Everton’s Oumar Niasse go one better than Hull loan spell and keep Cardiff up?

Everton striker Oumar Niasse could be on the move in the January transfer window.

, Cardiff City want to sign Niasse on loan to spearhead their bid for survival.

Cardiff were promoted last season and currently sit 14th – four points clear of the relegation zone.

But Neil Warnock knows that a bad run of form could drag the Bluebirds into a relegation dogfight.

And with Cardiff’s strikers struggling in front of goal, Warnock has identified Niasse as the man to lead his side to safety.

If the move goes ahead, it will be Niasse’s second January loan exit from Everton.

In mid-January 2017, Niasse moved to Hull and scored four league goals in 17 games.

But his efforts up front proved to be futile as the Tigers were relegated to the Championship.

If Cardiff sign the 28-year-old in January, he must gather his nous and experience from that loan spell and try to keep his new club in the Premier League.

Niasse will have ample opportunity to get playing time at Cardiff, with strikers Bobby Reid (one), Danny Ward (one), Gary Madine and Kenneth Zohore (both zero) struggling in front of goal.

If he could use his wisdom from suffering relegation with Hull, then Niasse could lead Cardiff to safety.
