Calvert-Lewin should remain Everton’s first-choice striker even if Adams arrives
Everton are among four clubs chasing the signature of Birmingham City striker Che Adams this summer,
They that the Toffees are eyeing the hitman to help ease their striking issues after the best season of his career, where he has smashed in 22 goals for the Blues.
Promotion-chasers Norwich, as well as top flight rivals Southampton and Burnley will provide Everton with competition for Adams’ services.
Adams is rated at £15m , a manageable fee for Everton given their financial clout but a considerable sum for a player who has never played in the top flight.

And while he might be a decent signing to offer an alternative to Cenk Tosun, who just hasn’t been able to get going at Goodison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been making the lone striker spot his own in recent weeks.
The academy graduate is a physical presence, but with more mobility and goal threat than Tosun can offer and has been a key part in Everton moving closer towards Marco Silva’s preferred blueprint with wins over Chelsea and Arsenal.
And he deserves the chance to take up the goalscoring mantle next season on a more regular basis, even if Adams comes through the door, on the basis of his recent displays.
