‘Burned his bridges’: Pundit reckons 30-year-old Manchester United player needs to leave now
Harry Maguire looked to be on his way out of Manchester United this summer.
The defender was strongly linked with a move to West Ham United, and it really did look as though Erik Ten Hag was ready to get rid of his former captain.
However, Maguire has since earned his spot in the team back, and he, all of a sudden, he looks like an important player in the manager’s team once again.
However, Maguire’s reputation has been permanently dented in the eyes of some, and speaking on , Wally Downes has suggested that the defender should still leave Old Trafford, claiming that he’s burned a lot of bridges at the club.

Maguire needs to leave
Downes shared his verdict on the man.
“Harry Maguire has come through it a little bit, but I think he’s burned his bridges at United, and I think he needs to move on, but they need to get some spine in that team and someone who is going to sort them out,” Downes said.
Harsh
Recent form considered, this is a very harsh stance to take on Maguire.
The defender has only just won the Premier League Player of the Month award, to say that he should now leave United seems more than a bit harsh.
Maguire is on the road to redemption at United, not on his way out.
Yes, things can change quickly and Maguire may not be the flavour of the month by the time January is over, but he’s one of few United players that probably doesn’t deserve to be on the chopping block next month.
Maguire’s long-term future probably doesn’t lie at Old Trafford, but, for now, he’s an important member of the squad and probably will be for the remainder of the season.
It would be a shock if Maguire were to leave next month.
