Bryan Mbeumo sent message by Yoane Wissa after completing Manchester United move, ‘from friends to enemies’…

Manchester United have strengthened their ranks further with the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

The Red Devils announced the signing of Bryan Mbeumo on Monday in a deal worth £65million plus £6million in add-ons.

Manchester United had been trying to finalise a deal for Mbeumo for a number of weeks, but Brentford refused to budge on their valuation.

However, the deal is now over the line, and the Red Devils have got themselves one of the Premier League’s most in-form attackers.

Yoane Wissa, who formed a superb partnership with Mbeumo, has sent a farewell message to his former teammate on social media.

Wissa posted about Mbeumo on his Instagram stories, sharing a photo of the two celebrating a goal in Brentford colours.

Wissa also said that “we will talk about it in 10 years’ time”, along with emojis of an hourglass and a teary face.

He also wrote “thank you boss” and, at the bottom of the post, he added “from friends to enemies” before tagging Mbeumo.

Where Yoane Wissa could move to this summer

Although there were some links between Man United and Wissa earlier this summer, as per , those came before the Red Devils had signed Mbeumo.

As revealed last week by TBR FootballNewcastle United had started talks to sign Wissa, and they are now ready to step up their efforts to sign him.

However, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest are also in the picture for the DR Congo international.

TBR Football understands that Newcastle are preparing a second bid for Wissa after Brentford turned down the Magpies’ first offer.

Graeme Bailey told TBR Football: “We are told that Newcastle’s opening bid is in excess of £25million, but Brentford were quick to say no.

“Newcastle will return, but Tottenham and Nottingham Forest have also had talks.

“As it stands, Brentford are insisting they don’t want to sell, but we understand that Wissa has already made it clear to Brentford he wants to leave.

“Wissa, whilst having the clear connection with Spurs boss Thomas Frank, is open to a Newcastle move.”
