And in what appears to be a huge endorsement from current Manchester United superstar Bruno Fernandes, the Red Devils midfielder has revealed he is excited to play with Garner in the future.

Answering some questions from fans on in celebration of his new contract, Fernandes was asked who he is most excited to play with from the current crop of academy players. And the Portuguese man made quick work of providing that update.

Certainly, it’s a big call from Fernandes to name Garner as this player. United have a plethora of outstanding young talent emerging at the moment. This, then, is a nice endorsement from Bruno.

The loan spell with Forest has been a masterstroke from Manchester United and Garner has reaped the rewards of playing regular football at the City Ground.

His next move will be interesting. Clearly, with Fernandes saying this, there is a buzz about Garner at Old Trafford. For Leeds, this is just more ammo for them to justify their interest.

Of course, he might cost a pretty penny given his age and potential. But Leeds have shown they’ll spend if needed, and they already took Dan James last year from the Red Devils. If first-team football is offered and Jesse Marsch can keep building, then Garner might just fancy the move himself.
