Brother of Newcastle United star makes Champions League claim

The brother of Allan Saint-Maximin has told that the Newcastle United winger will surely want to play in the Champions League.

After a solid start to life in the Premier League, Saint-Maximin has begun to win admiring glances from bigger clubs.

One of those is Napoli but his brother Kurtys has played down any talk of an immediate move.

“The Blues are a good team, but I have never talked to them about a possible transfer of Allan Saint-Maximin. Even in the past, there have been no contacts.

“If he likes the Neapolitan team? Of course, he likes Naples, it is a great club like Juventus, Inter and Milan are in Italy as well.

“I still don’t know his future, it is too early to talk about it but surely he will want to play as a starting player and participate in the Champions League.”

The 23-year-old has been in majestic form under Steve Bruce. Since arriving for from Nice, he has netted four times and registered seven assists.

Newcastle would dearly love to keep hold of him and at this moment in time, it would appear there are no plans for a departure.

In terms of a longer stay, the Magpies could do with the pending takeover being completed sooner rather than later.

Saint-Maximin earns at St James’ Park and he might demand more money if he continues to shine.

Ambition

With the North-East club set to be taken over by super-rich investors, they will need to at least become a regular in the Europa League at some point.

Saint-Maximin has time on his side and he seems to be enjoying his football at the moment.

The more he progresses, however, the harder it might be for the Magpies to keep hold of their prized asset.
