Brighton could hold trump card when it comes to landing Liverpool talent Rhian Brewster

Brighton have been named as one of the club’s potentially keen on signing Liverpool talent Rhian Brewster on loan.

Newcastle, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are also thought to be keen, with breaking the reports on Tuesday.

Graham Potter looks like he is keen to reinforce his attack and he might just have a trump card within his ranks.

Adam Lallana recently signed for the Seagulls and the chance to link up with a former teammate could appeal to Brewster.

The duo made a few appearances together for the Reds but in terms of settling in, the experienced performer could help considerably.

Not only that but Brewster was in red hot form for Swansea last season, scoring 11 goals since checking in during the January transfer window.

The Swans played some beautiful football towards the end of last season and their former Potter got the Brighton opportunity based on such an attractive style.

The transition from the Swansea setup into the Brighton team could prove seamless and that’s another indication as to why the Seagulls might just be in pole position.

Back to Lallana though and right now there is no proof that Brewster is a capable Premier League goalscorer.

Yes, he was magnificent for Swansea as they qualified for the Championship play-offs but the top-flight could take some time to adapt to.

Ideal

Having the experienced former Southampton man alongside him could help no end and the importance of having that level of expertise in your own corner shouldn’t be undervalued.

Potter has a proven track record of getting the very best out of younger talents and Brewster could be the Birmingham-born manager’s next project.

With Neal Maupay, Aaron Connelly and the veteran Glenn Murray in the attack, Brewster should see plenty of football at the AMEX Stadium.

Aston Villa and Newcastle might have the infrastructure and the fanbase but Brighton is the club which looks perfect for Brewster to continue his development.
