Report: ‘Unbelievable’ £15m player Tottenham and Arsenal want could now sign for another Premier League team

Tottenham and Arsenal face fresh competition in their bid to sign Middlesbrough full-back Djed Spence, with Brentford now reportedly keen on the Nottingham Forest loan star.

reports that Brentford are huge admirers of Spence. The Bees have secured their future in the Premier League thanks to some fine performances in their debut year in the top flight. And with eyes now on strengthening the squad further for next year, Spence has emerged as a target.

Spence has been in outstanding form for Forest all season and has helped them to a playoff spot, with second place still not out of the question. Despite his excellent form, Chris Wilder opted not to bring him back to Boro and reports have suggested both Tottenham and Arsenal want him.

Of course, should Forest be promoted, then it’s assumed that Spence would be the first name on their hit list. Boro are said to value him around the £15m mark, which won’t be a problem for any top flight teams.

Alongside Brennan Johnson, Spence has formed one of the most feared wide areas in the Championship. Spence has proven himself against PL opposition in the cup, too, with fine performances against Arsenal and Leicester.

TBR’s View: Spence Will Attract Bids Galore

In terms of Championship players, few have been as exciting as Djed Spence in recent years. He is a breath of fresh air and plays like he’s been a Premier League player for years.

Middlesbrough will know full well they can’t keep hold of him. It will come down to them just getting the best deal possible in terms of a sale.

Spence would slot in nicely at Brentford. He’d fit their ethos well and bursting down that right-hand side, he’d definitely offer something the Bees perhaps don’t have right now.
