Brennan Johnson shares what he’s noticed is really different about Tottenham and Nottingham Forest
Brennan Johnson has been giving his thoughts on what the big difference is between his new club Tottenham and old team, Nottingham Forest.
Johnson comes up against his former club tonight as Tottenham look to continue their impressive season by taking the points from the City Ground.
Spurs paid to sign Johnson in the summer. The London outfit were convinced to part with such money after the Welsh international impressed both in the Championship and then on his debut campaign in the Premier League.

Of course, Johnson is now having to produce for a team battling for the top four. With just a single goal this season, it’s obvious the step up has been a big one.
And speaking to before tonight’s game, Johnson opened up on the biggest difference he’s found.
“It’s different situations. I think mentally at Forest when I was there last season it was mostly about results. When I was there last season we didn’t make the best start so we were almost playing catch up but then we got to a really good point where we were able to say that we could stay up and were definitely in the mix. It’s more week by week at Forest, trying to get three points. Obviously you want to keep performing well but here it’s all about how you are performing, the manager’s style of play and trying to replicate that on a match day. So in terms of the mindset it’s different, here it’s more about performance, whereas Forest was more three points,” Johnson said.
Brennan Johnson can star for Tottenham
Forest fans will be fearing the inevitable tonight. The City Ground will be awash with fans who expect Johnson to find the back of the net against his former team.
That, of course, is the ideal for Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou. A win at the City Ground is hard to get and Spurs would love it if Johnson can get on the scoring act.
Over time, Brennan Johnson can go on to become a star for Tottenham. Playing under a manager like Postecoglou is going to help him massively.
Yes, there are other top attacking players in the ranks at Spurs right now. But Johnson has shown more than enough to suggest he can do the business and over time, that expensive transfer fee should prove to be money well spent.
