Brenden Aaronson shares what he’s noticed about Leeds fans after watching six months’ worth of matches
Brenden Aaronson has hailed the atmosphere at Elland Road created by Leeds United fans in the games he has watched.
Aaronson was linked with Leeds during the January transfer window when Marcelo Bielsa was in charge, but ultimately a deal didn’t happen.
But it seems he was watching the games with an eye on a summer transfer provided they stayed in the Premier League and he has now completed his move.
As per , he has shared what he has noticed about his new supporters and stadium and his enthusiasm to get started is so clear.

Aaronson hails Elland Road and Leeds fans
He said: “I got a little, I guess definition about the player that Leeds want, and I think I fit that.
“They celebrate a tackle like a goal, and I’m going to be that guy that’s not only going to be the creative outlet or the guy that’s going to be playing I guess, the [No.] 10 or winger or whatever.
“I’m going to be the guy that’s going to be working hard too and that’s what Leeds is. You can tell how passionate the fans are. I mean, from watching them for about half a year now, you can hear the fans echo in the stadium. You know how football is a way of culture there. It’s huge for them. I talked to Jesse a little bit about it.
“The fans, they’re amazing, you know, and they’re always going to support you. It’s tough, and maybe [with] the media and stuff like that, but that’s something I’m ready for. And I want to challenge myself mentally and physically.”

It seems like Leeds have got the right type of player on their hands here but the proof will be in the pudding on the pitch next season.
Jesse Marsch now has to shape this squad to his demands, and that probably includes fleshing it out somewhat from Bielsa’s reign.
The Whites have done some good early business getting the American through the door, but more is needed and it could be an exciting summer ahead.
