Bournemouth fans react to Leeds loanee Leif Davis’ display

A number of Bournemouth fans have taken to Twitter to laud Leif Davis after the Leeds United loanee finally got the chance to make his full home debut for the Cherries on Saturday.

It has been a hugely difficult start to life on loan for the 21-year-old. He featured in four of their first five Championship fixtures.

Davis was deployed on the right wing on a couple of occasions. However, he then went 11 games in the second tier without playing a single minute. In that time, he made the bench just the once.

But Scott Parker brought him back into the side for Saturday’s clash with Swansea.

And Davis certainly managed to make up for lost time in the 4-0 victory at the Vitality Stadium. He provided the assist for their second goal, crossing for Dominic Solanke.

He grew into the contest. , he won three tackles. Only one teammate managed more.

Meanwhile, his tally of four interceptions left him joint-top across the two teams. He also managed three clearances for the home side.

Davis’ very good performance prompted a number of Bournemouth fans to laud the youngster on social media.

In fact, several responded to the Cherries’ tweet asking for their man of the match by insisting that Davis was the standout.

Certainly, if he kicks on from this performance, it is hard to imagine that he will be returning to Leeds.
