Bournemouth fans react as club linked with Tottenham defender Danny Rose

Bournemouth are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose before next Friday’s deadline but face plenty of competition from other English clubs – and Bournemouth fans have reacted on Twitter.

Sky Sports claim Bournemouth have made an enquiry to sign 29-year-old Rose but are one of six Premier League clubs interested in the England international. Newcastle United and Watford are also said to be interested in the Spurs defender.

Rose has been used 16 times by Spurs this season but has been in and out of the side of late. He has featured in just one of Spurs’ last six Premier League matchday squads, starting in the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool and managing 70 minutes.

Ben Davies is expected to return to action sooner rather than later after a lengthy lay-off through injury. Ryan Sessegnon has been used on the left side of the defence, while Jan Vertonghen has also moved from centre-back to left-back on occasion.

Sergio Rico has been playing well on the left side of Bournemouth’s defence with Charlie Daniels out for the season and Lloyd Kelly close to returning from an injury. Rose would add to that already somewhat heavy competition.

Bournemouth fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their side are interested in luring former Leeds youth player Rose to the Vitality Stadium before Friday’s deadline – and there is a mixed reaction.
