Boss of Spurs and Leeds-linked £20m winger says ‘we’ll see what happens’ after he’s left out of squad
Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United have been linked with highly-rated winger Eberechi Eze in recent months.
Spurs are said to have been tracking the QPR ace for some time, with scout Brian Carey present to see the 22-year-old star in the 3-1 win at Preston in March, according to .
More recently, the reported in June that Jose Mourinho is “thought to be an admirer” of the player and that Tottenham’s interest remains.

In July, meanwhile, reported that Leeds – now back in the Premier League – were planning to make a bid for Eze.
The Elland Road side apparently told QPR at the start of the year that they would make an offer for the £20million-rated ace if they got promoted.
Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa had reportedly identified the England Under-21 international as the “creative spark” that his team will need next season.
On Saturday, reported that Fulham had joined the race for Eze, who was not included in their matchday squad for Saturday afternoon’s friendly with AFC Wimbledon.
“He’s a QPR player but there are a few bits and pieces going on,” QPR boss Mark Warburton told after the 3-0 win.
“What we have to do is just respect that and look after a guy who has come through the ranks here, and he’s one of ours.
“We look after all of our players. It was the right decision [not to play him] today and we’ll see what happens in the coming days.”
TBR View:
Eze has been head and shoulders above most of his competition in the Championship and surely it’s a matter of time before a Premier League club snaps up a player who has won high plaudits from fans and peers alike.
With Spurs looking to bolster their ranks following a difficult season in which Europa League qualification was salvaged late on, and Leeds hoping to hit the ground running in the top flight, Eze would certainly add quality to both sides.
However, have reported that Fulham “are thought to be most likely to meet QPR’s £20m valuation of the player as it stands”, so if Spurs and Leeds want him, they’ll need to step up their interest.
