Danny Cowley has confirmed that Miguel Azeez has undergone a scan on a groin injury, and worryingly, was unable to answer whether the Arsenal loanee could be out for a long time – .
What’s the story?
Azeez is yet to really get going since swapping the Emirates for Fratton Park in the summer.

He has only made one appearance for Portsmouth in League One. Meanwhile, he went into Tuesday’s clash with Burton Albion having been an unused substitute in their previous two fixtures.
However, the 19-year-old was nowhere to be seen at the Pirelli Stadium. And Cowley confirmed after the 2-1 defeat that he was out due to injury.
He was then asked whether he was expected to be out for a short or longer period.

“He’s got a groin strain unfortunately. He had a scan today, so we are awaiting those results,” he said, .
“No, we are awaiting the scan results,” he added, when asked about the potential time-frame.
Arsenal may need to review Azeez loan in January after another setback
Obviously, it may not be anyone’s fault that Azeez has suffered an injury. But it does appear that his time with Pompey is not yet going to plan.
Many Arsenal fans clearly felt that the teenager could have been around the first-team fold in North London this term.
So it is slightly concerning that he is yet to find his feet in League One.
And with that, Arsenal may perhaps have to consider what they do with Azeez in January if they have the option to recall him.
There is clearly more than enough time for Azeez’s fortunes to turn around before then.
But it may just be that Portsmouth is not the right club for his development at this stage, and sending him elsewhere would be a smart move.
