Borussia Dortmund now in contact with Tottenham over signing their £32m player
As we approach the January transfer window it’s clear that Daniel Levy is going to be very busy at Tottenham Hotspur.
The club desperately need to add quality and numbers to their playing staff, whilst also offloading some players from the past.

And whilst the likes of Eric Dier or Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are usually the first to spring to mind when considering departures in the January window, Tottenham do still have a sizable asset out on loan.
Sergio Reguilon is a player with a ton of ability and it’s perhaps surprising that his last couple of seasons have played out so ineffectively.
Currently on loan at Manchester United, fresh reports suggest that deal could be cancelled in January by Spurs if needed.
Journalist took to X to share that information, as well detailing Borussia Dortmund’s approach for Reguilon.
Berger said: “Tottenham LB Sergio Reguilón – on loan with Man United – is B. Dortmund’s top target in winter, as reported exclusively on Friday.
“Bild confirm our story today. BVB made an enquiry for a 6-months-loan. There is a January break clause in [Reguilon’s] contract with [Man United].”
Borussia Dortmund approach Tottenham to sign Sergio Reguilon in January window
Perhaps Spurs would welcome the opportunity to recall Reguilon from United and then send him on a different loan.
The Spaniard hasn’t really enhanced his reputation since moving to Erik ten Hag’s side, and a Dortmund move could be much more productive.

Then again, Tottenham may consider that they don’t need anymore disruption in the January window with a busy month expected.
It’s going to be a fascinating one to follow.
And looking at a different departure, it seems as if Spurs may also be making some progress with one £4m defender.
The January window should be a very exciting one for Tottenham fans, who can expect a lot of change.
Ange Postecoglou has barely had any time to build his Spurs squad and now has a big opportunity.
Although it doesn’t currently seem in doubt, returning to European football must be a non-negotiable for Spurs.
And additions next month would definitely help inspire a Champions League push.
