‘Bleeds Tottenham’: Some fans react after club make key appointment
Tottenham fans have thrown their support behind Ryan Mason after he was .
The club announced Jose Mourinho’s dismissal on Monday morning, as well as that of his coaching staff Joao Sacramento, Nuno Santos, Carlos Lalin and Giovanni Cerra.
It’s been a tumultuous week for Spurs, with news the iconic manager’s exit coming just hours after confirmation that Spurs were part of the European Super League 12.
Mourinho was shown the door after a run of one win in five Premier League matches saw them languishing in seventh place, five points off the top four, as well as a calamitous Europa League exit at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb.
Tottenham confirmed on Tuesday morning that Mason would take over on an interim basis for the remainder of the season.
His first game in charge will be Wednesday night’s League encounter with Southampton, and he’ll be in the dugout for Sunday’s Carabao Cup Final against Manchester City.
The 29-year-old made 70 appearances for Tottenham as a midfielder, before joining Hull City in 2016.
He was forced into early retirement due to risks associated with playing following a fractured skull sustained in a collision with Chelsea’s Gary Cahill in January 2017. He becomes the youngest manager to take charge of a Premier League game.
Supporters have wished Mason good luck, but many took the opportunity to make their feelings known regarding Tottenham’s participation in the ESL.

Lets not all turn on him if the players don't perform for him, they gave up for Poch and didn't really start for Jose, I hope he does well but he has not managed a club before so we cant expect miracles!

Ther irony is he bleeds Tottenham unlike the owners of this club. I am absolutely appalled & embarrassed to be a fan of this club. Shame on you. It’s reprehensible.
