Blackpool fans react to Arsenal loanee Dan Ballard’s display
A number of Blackpool fans have taken to Twitter to laud Dan Ballard after the Arsenal loanee’s performance in their emphatic win over Gillingham on Monday.
Ballard made his return to the Blackpool side after returning from international duty to sit on the bench against Swindon on Friday.

He had been hugely impressive when he played for Northern Ireland. And he appears to have picked up where he left off as he shone in Monday’s win.
Neil Critchley’s men beat the Gills 4-1 at Bloomfield Road. And Ballard’s performance prompted a number of fans to suggest that he was a man of the match contender.

, he won eight aerial duels during the contest. No other Blackpool player managed more than five.
Several supporters suggested that he was one of the shining lights in a win that moved them up to fifth in the table, four points clear of the chasing pack with a game in hand.
One fan even suggested that the Tangerines need to offer his parent club whatever fee they ask for to make sure that his deal can be converted into a permanent move in the summer.
With that in mind, here is how some of the fans reacted to the Arsenal loanee’s performance…
Matt, that was a fantastic performance. I must admit I was slightly worried beforehand, but we got it spot on. Simms held it up, Ward and Dougall ran midfield and Ballard was immense. Not taking it away from the rest either as complete team performance. Well done Critch 👍

Hope you now include Ballard in the best back four in league one? 🤪
But crikey, what strength in depth and a nice problem for Critch!

Give Arsenal whatever they want for Ballard.

Worth a try 😉 Ballard a man mountain at the back. Ward showing his qualities in the middle of the park. Yates and Simms forging a very handy partnership. We also saw the Sullay Kaikai I can get on board with today 🤣👍🍊
