Blackburn fans react on Twitter to display of Leeds loanee Ian Poveda
A number of Blackburn Rovers fans have taken to Twitter to laud Leeds United loanee Ian Poveda after his performance in their 3-1 win over Sheffield United at Ewood Park.
Tony Mowbray would have been desperate to see a reaction from his side following their 7-0 loss to Fulham in midweek.
Poveda was one of the players to come into the side. The 21-year-old was handed his first start since the goalless draw with Barnsley back in September.
It had appeared that Poveda was struggling to make an impact. He was certainly struggling to prove a point to Marcelo Bielsa, following the Leeds boss’ decision to let him leave on loan.
But perhaps he is now ready to get his spell properly off and running. The winger scored one and provided an assist as Blackburn recovered from going 1-0 down inside two minutes to win.
, no player completed more dribbles than Poveda. He managed five during the game. He also made two key passes for the home side.
Meanwhile, only two Blackburn players won more tackles than the Leeds loanee.
Of course, Poveda still has plenty to prove. Many of the fans have admitted that they did not see that sort of performance coming from the former Manchester City youngster.

But plenty have insisted that he proved them wrong emphatically after they questioned Mowbray’s decision to start him on Saturday.
