‘Big player’: Frank Lampard is really happy with ‘frightening’ new Everton signing, he’s already shown his quality
Everton haven’t had the best start to the season, and are one of two Premier League sides without a win.
They welcome West Ham United to Goodison Park today, who only sit below the Toffees on goal difference.
One player he singled out for praise was new signing Idrissa Gueye.

Gueye returned to Goodison Park from PSG this summer, after making over 100 appearance in his first stint at Everton.
The Senegalese international made his second debut against Liverpool, coming off the bench for the final 28 minutes.
Lampard was really happy with Gueye’s impact, and believes he’s already showing his quality.
“Idrissa Gana Gueye immediately displayed the experience and quality he will give us in his substitute appearance.”
“He’s fitted in like he’s never been away and will be a big player for us.”
Gueye already showing his quality at Everton
Idrissa Gueye was one of Everton top targets this summer, and forms part of a new-look midfield at Goodison Park.
The ‘frightening’ Gueye is joined by Amadou Onana and James Garner as new midfield signings on Merseyside.
There was talk that Arsenal were considering a bid for Gueye this summer, but he was always destined for Everton.
There’s a belief at Everton that Gueye could form a formidable partnership with Onana, who has started life well in the Premier League.

Everton have lacked a bit of steel in midfield that Gueye will certainly offer.
He’ll take no time to adapt to his new surroundings, although his lack of playing time at PSG may mean he’s not quite at match fitness.
Lampard will be keen to introduce him to the starting line-up quickly, as Gueye’s already showing his quality.
