‘Big, big changes needed’ – These Sheffield Wednesday fans were left fuming after Blackburn loss

Sheffield Wednesday put in a dire display yesterday as they were at home.

The Owls were down to ten men in the opening period and never recovered as Tony Mowbray’s men ran amock in S6.

It put a huge dent in the Owls’ playoff hopes and led to half the ground emptying before even half-time. By the 70th minute and at four down, Hillsborough was almost devoid of any home supporters.

As days in the Championship go, this was as miserable as they come for Garry Monk’s men.

Everything seemed to go wrong. Calamitous own goals, sendings off, and a seeming lack of effort from some players seemed to rile those Owls fans inside the ground.

Furthermore, the comments and feelings from Wednesday fans spilt on to Twitter following the game.

Understandably, a large number of Wednesday fans were on hand to show their feelings.

It’s safe to say, then, that Owls supporters were left unimpressed by what they saw at Hillsborough yesterday…

TBR View – A day to forget for Wednesday

This is as low as things have been at Hillsborough for some time now.

It was a shambles of a performance and some of the defending at times was bordering on being something from a comedy movie.

The own goal from Cameron Dawson just about summed up the day for the Owls.

Interestingly enough, they are still not too far off being in with a shout at the playoffs. A few wins in a row and things will start to look rosy again.

However, that’s been the Owls’ problem all season. There is no consistency, and that, ultimately, will cost them.
