‘Bielsa’s done it again’, ‘big season ahead’: Some Leeds fans in awe of 20-year-old’s display today
A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to praise Whites youngster Leif Davis for his impressive display in Saturday’s pre-season friendly victory at Thorp Arch.
The 20-year-old, who can play as a left-back and centre-back, was named in the Leeds starting XI for the meeting with Portugal’s Pacos de Ferreira.

Marcelo Bielsa deployed Davis as the left-sided centre-back and, bar the occasional minor lapse in concentration, he performed well.
He got forward often, hit crossfield passes but also carried out his defensive duties well.
After half time, he was moved to his more familiar left-back position as Leeds switched to a back three, and he continued to impress, playing the full 90 minutes as the Whites ran out 3-1 winners.
Here is some of the social media reaction to Davis’ display from the Elland Road faithful:
VERY GOOD DAVIS. Looking confident at CB and bursting forwards at times. Bielsa’s done it again, who would have thought he would be a CB a few years ago. Looks amazing!
