Rose on a redemption tour at Watford after Tottenham exit

Rose will now be on a redemption tour at Watford after leaving Tottenham as a free agent. The 30-year-old will be determined to prove that the last year is not the player he is, and that he can still play a key role at a Premier League club.

The fact Rose can look back on a difficult final 12-months at Tottenham positively speaks volumes of who he is. But he would surely prefer to do his talking on the pitch, having not been given that opportunity by Mourinho.

It will take a lot for Rose to work his way back into England consideration, just two years on from starting the Champions League final for Tottenham. However, what is most important right now is just getting back on the pitch and avoiding any further bad situations.
