‘YES’, ‘Thank you’: Some Tottenham fans want to keep 12-cap int’l, attacking duo more likely to leave
Tottenham Hotspur fans were reacting after they got an update on the future of Steven Bergwijn.
According to football.london, the 12-cap Dutchman has a big role to play at Spurs despite his limited game time last season.
Bergwijn started just 13 games in the Premier League, scoring one goal and registering three assists.
However, there are less optimistic updates on the futures of Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura.
Both are thought to be closer to the exit door than the 23-year-old winger. Lamela has just a year left on his deal whilst Moura started just 14 games last season.

TBR View: Tottenham need an overhaul in attack amid Bergwijn update
The update on the trio of players display how disjointed things are at the club.
There seems to be a lack of clarity over many players and stability is needed soon.
However, aside from Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane, there was no quality in the final third.
Son and Kane combined to contribute 64 of the team’s 68 goals in the Premier League, a stunning 94%.
An overhaul is needed in attack, and one which sees the club retain their two star forwards.

People writing him off. Still have hope with him. Showed flashes of class, consistency needed now

Bergwijn has a big role to play, because sending him back to Holland for 1/2 what we paid for him, wouldn’t be authorised by Levy.
