Ben Parker labels Leeds signing Raphinha an unbelievable talent
Ben Parker that Raphinha is an unbelievable talent, and lauded the way that the winger has already forced his way into the Leeds United starting lineup.
The 23-year-old has made an outstanding start to life at Elland Road. He looked bright as he made his first handful of appearances for the club by coming off the bench.
His second-half performance at Crystal Palace seemed to win him his first Leeds start for the clash against Arsenal. And once again, he proved to be a real shining light on a frustrating evening for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
He kept his place for the trip to Everton. And he vindicated the decision with a stunning display at Goodison Park. It was his long-range strike late on that decided the game.
The goal came after Raphinha had created a number of openings for himself and his teammates. And it now looks incredibly difficult to see him returning to the bench anytime soon.
Following his performance, Parker insisted that he deserves enormous credit for making himself so valuable to Bielsa’s men so quickly.
“I think he’s just an unbelievable talent,” . “It’s testament to him because you look over the two-and-a-half years under Marcelo Bielsa, any new signings that came in, it’s taken time to come into the starting lineup.
“He doesn’t integrate them straight away. But with Raphinha, he’s almost instantly come into the team so it just shows you what Bielsa thinks of him, but also how quickly he’s adapted.”
Of course, there may be times when Raphinha is not as influential. But the early signs certainly suggest that he is going to be an absolutely inspired addition at just £17 million ().
