Ranieri responds to question about Ben Foster ‘spending too much time on his YouTube channel’

Ben Foster has become a star on Youtube over the last year, but the Englishman has been in the news lately for spending a lot of his time and energy on the platform instead of focusing on football.
revealed earlier this week that club staff aren’t too happy with Foster prioritising YouTube over football. Some are said to be shocked that Watford have given him free reign to do what he wants with his camera.
The report quoted a club Insider saying: “It makes me so angry! Focus your dedication and commitment to the club because in return you receive a huge salary and privileged life.”
That has made a lot of noise over the last few days and new Watford boss, Claudio Ranieri, was quizzed about the same in his press conference yesterday.
Claudio Ranieri comments on the Ben Foster Youtube channel
The reporter asked Ranieri if he was worried about suggestions that claimed Foster was ‘spending too much time on his YouTube channel’ instead of concentrating on his football.
The Italian responded, as per : “I don’t know (if the suggestions are fair) because Ben, in training sessions, on the pitch and during the match is always concentrating.
“Then, I can tell him, ‘well done’. At 30 years old, he’s thinking about the future and well done to him.
“He’s a great actor, a great goalkeeper, that’s it.”

TBR View:
Foster’s YouTube channel is a great watch. It gives football fans a whole new perspective of the game and that is an excellent thing.
However, we can understand why it must be frustrating for people inside the club. Bringing out the camera right after a 5-0 defeat would annoy anyone, and that’s probably the reason why he’s being heavily criticised this week.
If Ranieri’s comments are anything to go by, he doesn’t seem to have a problem with it. That means Foster will continue uploading on his YouTube channel and we’re here for it!
