Ben Foster shares what annoys him about Arsenal No.29 Kai Havertz ‘every time’ he watches him play

Kai Havertz is currently playing the best football of his Arsenal career so far.

The Germany i🍸nternational scored a vital equaliser in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Southampton, becoming just the second player to score in seven successive matches at the Emirates Stadium after Robin van Persie managed the feat in the 2011/12 campaig꧙n.

As a result of the victory, Arsenal now sit third in the Premier League.

Havertz – who Thierry Henry admires – has now scored six goals in ten appearances so far this season, stepping up to silence those who claimed Mikel Arteta needed to sign a new striker over the summer.

However, there is one thing Kai Havertz does during games for Arsenal which irks Ben Foster.

Ben Foster criticises Kai Havertz for wastefulness in front of goal

Speaking on his channel – The Cycling GܫK – Foster criticised the Arsenal No.29 for not being ruthless en🦋ough in front of goal.

The 41-year-old said: “For me, it’s four good chances to a goal for Kai Havertz. That’s how it feels to mღe. Every time I watch him, he has so many good chances and he will only ever put one of them away.”

In our view, that could have been said of Havertz in seasons gone b✱y, but the German does seem to be far more clinical nowadays.

What the numbers say about Havertz and his goalscoring efficiency at Arsenal

So far this season, the 25-year-old has pretty much matched his xG (expected goalsꦫ) numbers.

As shows, Havertz has an xG of 5.48 in the Premier League this term, and has actually scored four ﷽goals in seven ꦅPremier League appearances.

Therefore, the man from Aachen only has an xG diffeꦿrence of just minus 1.48 – a figure which would b♈e a lot worse if he really did miss three golden chances per game, as Foster claims.

In terms of the UEFA Champions League and the Carabao Cup, Havertz, who Rafa Benitez called unique, is actually outperforming his xG – finding🦋 himself 🍸0.37 and 0.39 goals above the metric respectively.

Hopefully, the German can keep hitting the ♏back of the net for Arsenal, and fire the Gunners to some silverware this 👍season.
