‘He’s got everything’: Ben Foster says Arsenal 23-year-old is ‘world-class’ this season
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is enjoying quite the season for the Gunners and according to Ben Foster, he is showing everyone he is ‘world-class’ this season.
The former Sheffield United stopper has dislodged Bernd Leno as the number one at Arsenal and hasn’t looked back ever since getting his chance. Called up by England for the Euros, Ramsdale has been exceptional all season long under the guidance of Mikel Arteta.
And according to another former England goalkeeper, Ben Foster, Ramsdale is showing everyone just why he’s rated so highly this season.
“There’s a massive difference between up and coming and should be and might be, because when you actually get out there and you have to do it week in, week out, it’s a very different proposition,” Foster told .
“At the minute, I think the one that’s out there doing it, proving it and showing it is Aaron Ramsdale. It’s very easy to say that, but he’s actually doing it. He is showing everyone that he is world class. He’s got everything to his game, he can make saves, he’s dominant, he plays out from the back and he’s doing it week in, week out. You’ll very rarely see a mistake from him, he’s always the same temperament and he looks like he’s a leader as well.”
Ramsdale has become synonymous with Arsenal fans for his over the top celebrations. He’s a firm fan favourite now, and after the backlash over the £30m fee paid in the summer, he is now looking worth every penny.
