Ben Foster lauds Guglielmo Vicario’s ‘worldie’ save vs Bournemouth

Ben Foster has lauded the ‘worldie’ save made by Guglielmo Vicario to deny Evanlison giving Bournemouth the lead after just ꦏ20 seconds.

Cristian Romero’s sloppy pass gifted the Brazilian a one-on-one in the very early stages of the match, ꧋however, 🐻Vicario was on hand to produce the save.

Throughout the match, Vicario demonstrated his importa🥀nce to Postecoglou’s tea🎀m as he produced several other top draw saves.

Foster told The Cycling GK Podcast: “It’s a worldie save! The only way he’s saving that is because he’s not guessing, he’s anticipati𓃲ng it and there’s a big difference between guessing and anticipating.

“He can sꦉmell it, he’s looking at everything, he’s assessed the whole situation, Vicario, he’s looked at the body position of the player.

“He’s anticipated it enough to get a✨ little step there before he’s even kicked it, it’s a worldie – we’re talking finger tips.”
