‘Been told it’s all agreed’: Romano shares Arsenal transfer update on ‘incredible’ player

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has agreed a move to Barcelona.

The Gunners full-back’s contract is being terminated by mutual consent ahead of the switch, he added.

Bellerin has become surplus to requirements at Arsenal and has been linked with a departure all summer.

His exit was always on the cards, but how his departure would play out has been subject to speculation.

Now, it looks as though Arsenal have decided to just let him go on a free.

Here is what Romano posted on Twitter regarding the Bellerin state of play:

Meanwhile, Charles Watts has claimed that the deal is a free transfer as opposed to a contract termination.

‘No money changes hands between clubs, but Arsenal have a sell-on clause in case Barca sell in the future,’ he added on Twitter.

Bellerin has enjoyed a fruitful career at Arsenal since joining their academy setup from Barca in 2011.

The 27-year-old has won three FA Cups and three Community Shields, scoring nine goals and assisting 29 more in 239 games for the Gunners.

However, Bellerin hasn’t been in Mikel Arteta’s plans for a while now.

He spent last season on loan with La Liga outfit Real Betis, making 32 appearances in all competitions.

Bellerin also helped Los Verdiblancos won the Copa del Rey for just the third time in their history.

Now, it looks as though the “incredible” talent will be back in La Liga – but in Barcelona rather than in Seville.
