‘Been everywhere’: Sky Sports commentator blown away by 21-year-old Leeds United man’s first-half display vs Chelsea

Aaronson put in a superb performance for Leeds today as he grabbed a hard-earned goal at Elland Road.

The 21-year-old pressed Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy into making a costly error. Aaronson dispossessed Mendy right in front of the goal and then put Leeds 1-0 up.

But it wasn’t just his goal that amazed Goodman in the first-half today, it was his all-round game.

Commentator blown away by Aaronson

“I spoke about new signings, they must like what they’ve seen [Aaronson],” he said.

“Look at the spread out of that [touch map]. He has been everywhere.”

Leeds were excellent against Thomas Tuchel’s side today as they stormed to a 3-0 win.

And Aaronson was one of the standout performers, particularly in the first-half. The Whites came flying out the blocks and went into half-time two goals up, with Aaronson grabbing their first of the afternoon.

The United States international only made the switch from Red Bull Salzburg this summer. But he’s had an instant impact on Jesse Marsch’s side.

The former Salzburg midfielder has already earned praise for his displays and showed further promise today against top opposition in Chelsea.

Marsch will be delighted with how his new signings have settled in so far. The Leeds boss took a risk in bringing in younger players with no Premier League experience, but it seems to be paying off so far.

The Whites have already picked up two wins and players like Aaronson have been key in these games.

After a huge win today, Leeds travel to Brighton next weekend and Marsch will be hoping Aaronson can continue his superb form.
