, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are ready to go head-to-head in pursuit of Joachim Andersen.

The two North London rivals are scrapping to land the , who currently plays for Sampdoria in Serie A.

The 22-year-old is a top young talent and despite his young age, he is already standing out at senior level.

The Denmark under-21 international is a commanding defender who has the potential to go a long way in the game.

Arsenal need to be looking to tap into his talent as they seek a long-term partner for Rob Holding at centre-half.

They face competition from Spurs, who will try to attract him by offering him the chance to be Toby Alderweireld’s successor.

But the Gunners can pull off a coup if they beat Spurs to the signing of one of Europe’s top prospects.

If he fulfils his potential, his value will rocket and Arsenal will have a very good centre-half on their books.
