Glasgow Rangers secured a narrow win at Ibrox in their Champions League third qualifying round first-leg match last night.
Michael Beale’s Rangers charges ran out winners over their opponents – who played the final third of the game with ten men – at Ibrox.
Rangers raced into a two-goal lead within the first 15 minutes against Servette.

James Tavernier put the Light Blues ahead from the penalty spot in the sixth minute of the match.
Then, Borna Barisic whipped in a cross which Cyriel Dessers bundled home at the far corner of the opposition net.
Rangers sought to grab a third goal that would’ve put the tie to bed, but instead, Servette found a way back in.
A Dessers handball in the box enabled Chris Bedia to step up to the penalty spot and fire home from 12 yards out.
Rangers job should’ve become easier in the second half when David Douline was sent off on the hour mark.
However, the Gers failed to make their numerical advantage count, and so take a narrow lead to Switzerland next week.
The second leg is next Tuesday, and the winner faces PSV or Sturm Graz in the next round of the competition.
‘He will offer something in the long term’
Beale handed summer signing Danilo his first start for Rangers in the European clash.
The 24-year-old, who joined from PSV in July, made his Light Blues debut off the bench against Kilmarnock last week.
BBC Sport pundit and former Rangers winger Neil McCann liked what he saw from Danilo during the game.
“I thought Danilo was really sharp,” McCann said on BBC Scotland, via the website.
“Maybe he was trying a bit too hard but he looks really good.”

Danilo delivered a decent performance, with plenty of encouraging signs before coming off in the 65th minute.
Admittedly, there’s still work to do from the Brazilian, but all in all, it was a good display from the Ibrox newcomer.
also liked what they saw from Danilo, giving him a 6 out of 10 rating and suggesting he’ll get better.
‘Has a nice touch but looked a touch off the pace of the game at times,’ they wrote.
‘Gave the ball away with a consistency he wouldn’t want to repeat but showed bright enough to suggest he will offer something in the long term once he’s more bedded in.’
