Leeds United forward Mateo Joseph earned praise from BBC Sport pundit Matthew Upson in Tuesday’s FA Cup fourth-round replay.
The Whites ace delivered a lively performance in his for Leeds for 454 days, weighing in with several great chances against Plymouth.
In the first half, Joseph latched onto a good ball into the box, beat his marker and shot at goal, Conor Hazard pushing the effort onto the woodwork.
Upson said on BBC One, via the BBC Sport : “Cracking piece of centre forward play from Mateo Joseph.
“Some real nice strength there… it’s a really good save from Hazard.”

In the 55th minute of the game, Joseph turned before seeing his low effort take a slight deflection to go just wide of the post.
Upson once again praised the 20-year-old, : “I really like that move from Joseph.
“He knows what’s around him and he gets his shot off quickly. Sharp play from the centre forward.”
Joseph made way in the second half of the game, with the score at 1-1 following goals from Wilfried Gnonto and Brendan Galloway.
Leeds boss Daniel Farke sent on Patrick Bamford and Georginio Rutter for Joseph and Jaidon Anthony.
It was good to see Joseph make his first Leeds start for well over a year, and he certainly did very well on his return to the XI.
Let’s hope we’ll see much more of the 20-year-old over the course of the season and beyond.
