BBC pundit says Liverpool have a player has been more exciting than Luis Diaz this season
Liverpool have had a remarkable start to this Premier League season.
The Reds sit at the top of the Premier League table after seven games, and a lot of their brilliance this term can be accredited to Ryan Gravenberch.
The Dutchman has been incredible in Liverpool’s midfield as of late, so much so that Gravenberch has been compared to Patrick Vieira.
Speaking on the Planet Premier League Podcast, Thomas Hitzlsperger has been discussing Gravenberch’s rise to prominence this season, and the pundit says that the Dutch star has actually been Liverpool’s most exciting player this season.

Ryan Gravenberch has been Liverpool’s most exciting player
A number of Liverpool players have dazzled this season.
Indeed, Luis Diaz has been on fire, while Mohamed Salah has been characteristically fantastic down the right wing.
However, according to Hitzlsperger, Gravenberch has been Liverpool’s most exciting player this season.
“That’s a really good match up on the weekend. Gravenberch deserves all of the credit this season for stepping into that midfield role and dominating. Liverpool are defending so strongly and it’s the entire team, everyone knows each other. Overall Gravenberch has been the most exciting player this season for them amongst many good players,” Hitzlsperger said.
Arne Slot deserves credit for Gravenberch’s form
Ryan Gravenberch has always had the raw ability to be a star, that much was obvious when he was at Ajax.
However, he’s not had a coach in his career so far who could unlock that ability, until now that is.
Indeed, Arne Slot deserves huge credit for his role in Gravenberch’s renaissance.
Paul Merson has recently hailed Slot for his role in Gravenberch’s evolution.
“Ryan Gravenberch has been outstanding for Liverpool. Good coaches make players better, that’s exactly what Slot has done with Gravenberch this season,” Merson wrote.
“He looks a far better player than he was last term. On the contrary, if you look up the road towards Manchester and you really can’t find anyone who has improved as a player under Ten Hag.”
Slot had plenty to prove at Anfield as he stepped in as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement, but his work with Gravenberch has already proven that he has the coaching chops necessary to be a top manager for Liverpool.
