BBC pundit names two Liverpool players who were ‘outstanding’ vs Bournemouth
Glenn Murray has given his verdict on the performance of Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate against Bournemouth.
The former Bournemouth striker was impressed by the displays produced by the two Liverpool centre-backs in the Premier League game on Sunday.

Praise for Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate vs Bournemouth
Well, Liverpool won against Bournemouth away from home in the Premier League on Sunday.
Uruguay international striker Darwin Nunez scored two goals for Liverpool, and so did Portugal international forward Diogo Jota.
All four goals came in the second half. Liverpool were the better team and deservedly picked up all three points from the match.
Former Bournemouth striker Glenn Murray was following the match for BBC Sport, and he noted how good Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate were at the back for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Murray said about Konate and Van Dijk on : “Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk have been outstanding in the centre of that Liverpool defence.”
My View: Van Dijk and Konate played well
In my opinion, Liverpool were very good at the back, and one of the main reasons why they kept a clean sheet against Bournemouth was the display produced by Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate.
Konate was very good when it came to making the right challenges at the right time. He kept Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke quiet.
Van Dijk has started to look more and more like the player he was before his injury. The Dutch centre-back was a rock at the back for Liverpool against Bournemouth and very composed under pressure.
