Bayern now trying to sign Tottenham Hotspur player after losing out on Radu Dragusin

With news that Tottenham Hotspur have made a huge breakthrough in a deal for Radu Dragusin, there will be ramifications for Bayern Munich.

The German club seemed confident that they had snatched Dragusin from Spurs’ grasp just a few hours ago, but there’s been a big turnaround.

And that could benefit Spurs two-fold.

As well as Tottenham securing their top target in Dragusin, Bayern Munich will now need to find another centre-back to fulfil their January need.

And according to journalist , they are now favourites to sign Eric Dier once again.

The Tottenham man seems free to leave this month, and Spurs’ capture of Dragusin could now pay dividends all round.

Sharing his update on X, Plettenberg said a deal is close but not quite completed, yet.

He said: “Been told: After the failed hijack deal of Dragusin, Eric Dier [is] now one of the top favourites for FC Bayern!

“Verbal agreement is done. Transfer fee: Around €4m. Contract: 2025 + 1.

“Not a done deal yet!”

Of course, this will be an incredibly satisfying update for Spurs fans – their club has produced a master class.

Bayern Munich pivot to Eric Dier after losing out on Radu Dragusin to Tottenham

As well as the obvious benefits to their squad balance, it will be fascinating for Spurs fans to watch Dier at Bayern if a deal is completed.

There’s no doubt that Dier still has a lot to offer, he’s simply just not a player for Ange Postecoglou.

Dier would of course be reunited with Harry Kane at the Bundesliga club, something that has surely been a big factor.

Perhaps Kane has endorsed a move for Dier, a player he’s succeeded with at both Spurs and England.

Either way, Tottenham fans will be absolutely delighted that they’ve made this late turnaround for Dragusin, especially if it means Bayern pivot to Dier.

It’s been a remarkable few days for Daniel Levy and his team, who have started the January window quite excellently.
