However, , Bayern are now interested in a summer move for Guirassy, with the striker having a £17m release clause.

Indeed, with such an incredible goal record this season, it’s no real wonder Bayern are keen on signing the forward as a potential strike partner for Harry Kane.

And for Tottenham, losing out on Guirassy to Bayern would be a hammer blow, especially after losing Kane to the Bundesliga giants last summer.

Guirassy’s record this season has made the Stuttgart man one of the most in-demand players in Europe heading into this January transfer window.

And for Tottenham, they have to ensure that they’re the side who win the race for Guirassy’s signature, a battle that could be hard with Bayern now interested.

At £17m, Spurs should have no issues with signing Guirassy, yet Bayern’s efficiency in the market could mean that the German giants already have put plans in motion to recruit the 27-year-old.
