Bayern Munich are now trying to sign £25m player who was close to joining Tottenham
Although the January window looks to be starting superbly for Tottenham Hotspur, there’s now some unwelcome news stemming from Bayern Munich.
A move for Timo Werner looks all but completed – there’s no danger there.
However, with a deal for Radu Dragusin still yet to be finalised, even though he’s now considered very close to joining, Bayern Munich may make a late move.
Journalist has now provided an update on X saying that Bayern have added 21-year-old Dragusin to their winter wishlist.
Of course, this update would also compromise the idea that Eric Dier will swap Tottenham for Bayern Munich in January.
Even Bayern captain Manuel Neuer was welcoming the idea of Dier joining yesterday, but all may have now changed.
Sharing his update, Falk said: “New name on Bayern-List for a centre-back: Radu Dragusin
“Also Spurs are supposedly interested.”
And given the Harry Kane saga in the summer, Tottenham already know how difficult it can be to compete with the lure of the Bundesliga champions.
Both clubs are clearly in the centre-back market, and a asking price for Dragusin looks to be very reasonable during a mid-season window.

Of course, there are alternatives for Spurs this month, but they would likely come at a greater cost.
Perhaps Tottenham could explore the signing of another former Chelsea player following a deal for Werner.
However, a deal for Dragusin does look a lot more achievable this month.
Bayern Munich’s new interest might cause Tottenham to up their January bid for Dragusin, with the two sides thought to be have a small gap in valuation.
But with a European giant competing with you, a hard bargain is probably not a good idea.
At 21-years-old, Dragusin looks like the perfect profile for Postecoglou to work with.
And it’s completely obvious just how much this Tottenham team needs an addition at the back – it could possibly even benefit from two.
It’s certainly going to be interesting to see if Spurs hasten their bid on the back of this new information for a player who looks perfectly suited for a move to North London.
