Bayern fans react as Liverpool ace reportedly offered to league leaders
Bayern Munich are just a handful of points away from securing a Bundesliga title and are expected to re-enter the summer window to bolster their ranks and go again – but Bayern fans have reacted to their reported decision to reject a Liverpool player.
Gini Wijnaldum, 30, remains out of contract in the summer and looks as though he will leave Anfield for nothing. Chelsea, PSG, Juventus and Barcelona are all interested. But German site Bayern have been proposed with a move.
The Dutchman’s agents travelled to Germany to discuss a move to Bayern – who sit five points clear at the top of Bundesliga and with Hansi Flick’s side only having six league games to play. However, Bayern have decided against signing Wijnaldum.
It is claimed that his wage demands has proven too much for Bayern to consider – despite the German champions previously bringing key first-team stars to the club under the Bosman ruling, such as Manuel Neuer and Robert Lewandowski.
Bayern fans reacted on Twitter to the reports that they have decided against signing the former Newcastle United star this summer – despite being available on a free. The majority are seemingly relieved that their club have chosen not to sign him.

If Flick is staying, we should buy Dantas and develop him. He has talent and keeping him will make Flick happy. No need for Gini or Florian.
