Barcelona fans react as Newcastle reportedly weigh up Clement Lenglet move
Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet has emerged as a target for Newcastle according to SPORT – and Barca defenders have reacted on Twitter.
Lenglet, 26, is likely to be looking for a move after falling down the pecking order in a struggling Barcelona side under the guidance of Ronald Koeman.
The ex-Everton gaffer is under fire to keep Barcelona performing well, but also sell some of his assets in order for the club to pay off it’s huge debt.
In the summer, Lionel Messi was a casualty – while Junior Firpo amd Emerson Royal were sold to Premier League sides Leeds and Tottenham.
Now, another Barcelona defender could be headed to these shores. SPORT say Newcastle’s new owners want a left-footed centre-back in January.
They have identified France international Langlet as the man to fill that void. It might prove tempting, after just one start during 2021-22 so far.
Bought for more than £30million from Sevilla, it is likely that he will be sold for a smaller fee. Barca are obviously keen to sanction his exit.

What are Barcelona fans saying about Newcastle eyeing Lenglet?
It appears that Barcelona fans want him out, too. Having struggled to play this season, many think cashing in on Lenglet is a good idea.
Barcelona need to sell players to raise funds and fans realise that. They would rather sell some of their big earners struggling for senior football.
Coutinho, being another example. Many Barcelona fans reacted to the news Newcastle are keen on Lenglet on Twitter, urging his exit.
he is represented by the same agency that looks after current Toon winger Ryan Fraser – a player Newcastle signed in 2020.
