Barcelona fans react as Liverpool reportedly teenager Pedri, who has a £70m release clause

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona teenager Pedri this summer, with the playmaker already shining in Ronald Koeman’s side despite his tender age – and Barcelona fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported interest from Anfield.

Pedri, 18, joined Barcelona in the summer of 2019 from Las Palmas – but returned to Las Palmas on loan, impressing with the Spanish side and having a hand in 11 goals. That was enough for Koeman to give him a real chance at Barca this term.

The central midfielder has appeared 44 times in all competitions for Barcelona just this season – also boasting three senior Spain caps. Such form has attracted interest from Premier League champions Liverpool, with talks said to have been held ().

It is claimed that he has a release clause in his contract worth £70million but Barcelona are keen to hand him a new deal and increase that clause to a whopping £350million. Liverpool look unlikely to get him, but are certainly interested.

Barcelona fans reacted on Twitter to the news that Liverpool want to bring Pedri to Anfield in the coming weeks, and many have urged their club to take action. Pedri is seen by the majority of fans as the future of the club, and one to build it around.
