Barcelona determined to get rid of ‘fantastic’ player before deadline day as Tottenham show interest

On the back of losing to Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Daniel Levy have decided to back Ange Postecoglou in the transfer market, as opposed to sacking their manager.

Tottenhamꦇ have recognised that injuries have been the biggest contributor to Spurs’ poor results under Postecoglou recently, who is going to be given more time.

🀅It increasingly seems as if Spurs’ Carabao Cup semi-final second leg will be crucial to Postecoglou’s hopes of remaining at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a manager tasked with holding a 1-0 lead at Anfield.

꧑Of course, Spurs may make additions in the transfer market before then to boost their chances.

Tottenham will add before deadline day𝔍, but it remains to be seen where Johan Lange will deem most crucial to strengthen.

Barcelona trying to offload Ansu Fati amid Tottenham interest

🐟Spurs fans are calling out for the club to buy a defender, recognising a particularly thin area of Postecoglou’s squad.

However, Tottenham might turn to Ansu Fati✱ at Barcelona to strengthen their squad on loan, who has been offered to the club this month.

🐠And in wake of that news, Barcelona are now pushing harder than ever to offload Fati, who was once considered to be the world’s next big talent.

🦩Lionel Messi called Fati ‘’ whilst he was coming through at the Catalan club, but injuries have hampered his progress, as was evident during his loan at Brighton & Hove Albion last season.

🌳According to in Spain, Flick has made it very clear to Fati that he’s free to leave this month, and the German manager has even begun to leave the winger out of his match day squads in favour of youth players.

♛In addition, when Fati was involved on the bench against Valencia last weekend, he didn’t play a single minute in Barca’s 7-1 win despite Flick using all five subs.

💮Fati is clearly free to leave Barca, and it now just remains to be seen if Tottenham might be tempted into a move before deadline day.

Johan Lange might have a clever short-term fix for Spurs

🙈Spurs fans would be forgiven for being slightly aggravated by links to a forward right now – their squad is crying out for help defensively.

However, Dejan Kulusevski looked exhausted𝔍 against Leicester, stressing the need for Lange to possibly also identify short-term solutions up top.

ꦿOnce all of Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert, Timo Werner and Dominic Solanke are fit, the club doesn’t need any more permanent arrivals without a departure.

And whilst Werner could be heading for the MLS𓄧, Tottenham would still seem ill-advised to make a reactionary permanent signing this month.

ꦐFati’s fitness record is an issue too, perhaps explaining why a loan until the end of the season might suit all parties if he can prove his fitness for now, a superb talent who might still have much more to give.
